CRAFTSMANSHIP
OVER VOLUME.
Porter’s Detailing was built on a simple standard: do the job right, with careful preparation and honest expectations — not rushing vehicles through a line.
The Porter’s standard
HOW WE WORK.
Three things shape every result that leaves this shop.
The owner works on your vehicle
Michael Porter inspects, preps, corrects and finishes every vehicle personally. No handoffs, no rushed shortcuts, no revolving shop hands.
A dedicated shop, not a driveway
Work happens indoors under proper inspection lighting on clean floors with professional equipment — the conditions that decide how a finish actually turns out.
Proven products, no gimmicks
CCI ceramic coatings, Union Carbon and Geoshield C2 films, and professional compounds and chemistry. Honest expectations instead of inflated claims.
Founder & lead technician
MICHAEL PORTER.
Porter’s Detailing started in 2018 out of a long-running interest in doing automotive work properly — the kind of care most vehicles never get.
What began as enthusiast-level detailing grew into a dedicated shop in Grant Park handling daily drivers, lifted trucks, muscle cars, work fleets, semis and farm equipment. The same standard applies to all of it: assess the paint honestly, prepare it thoroughly, and protect it with products that hold up. We’re mindful of our footprint, too — biodegradable cleaning agents and water-efficient techniques are part of the standard.
Every vehicle that comes through the shop is worked on by the owner — start to finish.
